Thanks Bugsy, I do take digestive enzymes but only after certain heavy meals and had never heard the correlation of not being able to break down fish oils. I had only read that if the product smelled of fish, and in turn you smelled of fish after ingesting it, then perhaps it was rancid--I mean not only did I taste it for days, the odor seemed to come out of my pours...eek! So I guess I just kind of got turned off of it.

I just checked out that link and yes, it is the center I have been looking at for quite some time (Health Recovery Clinic). Don't know where my post message went as I just posted last night about this book in response to someone else who was reading Joan Larson's book on beating Depression naturally. (am fairly new to this forum--sometimes doesn't work right so it must be something I am doing) Quite a few years ago, I bought her book on Seven Weeks to Sobriety--a GREAT book!!! as it has solutions for all sorts of problems like wanting to quit smoking, drinking, Depression etc. Prior to getting this book, I had read much on amino acids and Joan Larson's brilliant work confirmed my belief in using them for imbalances. Upon her suggestion, I tried using glutamine for busting Sugar and alcohol cravings and the positive response that I had from taking this, confirmed my belief that alcoholism and could very well be a blood Sugar disorder. I wasn't considered an alcoholic but went through a period of time when I couldn't wait to get home from work to have a drink to unwind me. Now I can take it or leave it. I also mainly took glutamine to control my Sugar imbalance in hopes of helping with yeast problems--the other response was just a bonus[I have been diagnosed with CFS, so in turn this immune disorder has caused yeast, adrenal, hormonal, thyroid and of course, Depression problems] So with all this mess going on, I had been considering going to this center for a while, as they test for all types of disorders and claim to be able to re-balance your system. I suspect my daughter has the same sugar imbalance as well as many other digestive disturbances, ADD etc. and have considered taking her there, however it costs 6,000+ for testing and a 6 week stay(this may be higher now, as that was quite some time ago that I inquired). Much cheaper to read the book and try some of the remedies suggested, which I have done on myself, then my daughter. However, I haven't had much luck in getting her to be involved in her own healing as she lives on her own so this center is always in the back of my mind as the last resort.

I have also just recently been taking zinc and b-6 at night before going to bed and usually just use it when I feel like I am coming down with something (helps boost my immune system especially when combined with C every 2-3 hours) but maybe I will continue, cuz I can always use a little more focus, mental stamina and mood boost. (Very difficult to keep up with things sometimes as I am so tired, mentally and physically) I also had my daughter tested a while back for pyloria as I suspected it when she was diagnosed with an ulcer (22 years old!!!) The test was negative, but perhaps I should revisit that and have her tested again.

So it is very interesting that you mentioned this link for me to check out--another confirmation that perhaps I am on the right track! Thank you so much! I will review what is said about the symptoms of pyloria....

What is your reason for reading this book? Please keep me posted if the good effects of zinc and B6 continue...perhaps we can figure all this out with each other's help!
