It is good to do the research, doctor's push synthetics. My husband is on a thyroid FB forum and I often scan it. Lots of women there and they mainly use NDT or Armour. They do have trouble finding doctor's to prescribe it. He has been on Armour since he was 6 years old (now 66). I give him every day between 2-4 drops Lugol's 5% and at times an extra drop of SSKI . The doctor does not know he uses iodine. Also in our case the insurance does not pay for the Armour.
