I am not sure colloidal silver would help with fatty liver disease itself. But if there is an underlying infection, maybe it might help fight the infection and in that way take some burden off of the liver. If I remember right from when my cat had fatty liver disease, the vet told me it was important to make sure she was still eating and drinking. A drastic drop in food intake (like if the cat stopped eating because it was sick or depressed) can be a shock to the liver and with a fatty liver can cause the liver to stop working. My cat had eaten some clematis leaves, which are poisonous to cats, so got sick and stopped eating. Because she had a fatty liver and was starving herself, her liver started to shut down. We had to give her IV fluids and steroid shots to get her to start eating again. She lost a lot of weight, and it took 2 weeks for her to get better. With a fatty liver, the cat does need to lose weight, but it needs to be done slowly.
