It is a personal choice. When the forum was new we were all experimenting and I think the highest I went was 130mg Lugol's 5%. Now I just take a couple of drops a day. Sometimes I take 5 drops SSKI , for a day or a couple of days when I feel my gallbladder act up.
I don't like to overdo anything I am always afraid that it will throw off other things in my body. Besides I need some other supplements depending on the problems I have.
