for me it is a clarity, and was just like the lifting of a dullness. I might be inclined to consider Iodine as being a nootropic mineral. It increases the acuity of the mind and I can't answer your question, only suggest that it removes dullness caused by elimination of something else that was present, bromide, fluoride, etc., or alternatively that it is just necessary for a person to think optimally and most people don't get enough and accordingly are not accustomed to thinking optimally. Have you tried any math puzzles ?
