I will up the amounts of Iodine and Vitamin C in my diet, but you have the definition of an Auto Immune disease all wrong. It does not mean the immune system is in shambles. It mean the immune system is attacking something that is normally present in the body. This is a malfunction, not a lack of function. If you read the Wiki, the usual treatment for Autoimmune Disease is actually immunosuppression, or the act of decreasing immune system response.
