I started using Lugol's Iodine around the end of November/start of December, 2013 after reading "The Iodine Crisis." My main goals were to decalcify the pineal gland, lose weight, clear my brain fog, and protect the prostrate after a couple of high PSA readings. At first, I did the low dose routine, got hit with three colds back to back, and spent a couple of Fridays in bed due to fatigue. Since then, I've joined the megadose bandwagon to get the detox through as quickly as possible. I have been using 8 to 16 drops of Lugol's daily and also 10 to 20 drops of Trapper's SSKI.
In march, I saw my doctor for a checkup and told her at the time that I was taking Lugol's. Since my brother and mother are both hypothroid, she decided to do some thyroid tests with my next bloodwork.
Had my return visit last Friday. I don't retain numbers well and didn't write them down. But my thyroid tests turned out in the "normal" range. So at least I'm not hurting my thyroid with Lugol's.
In addition, I am no longer pre-diabetic! And I have lost 7 pounds of weight. There was no mention of cholesterol, so I assume I am doing well with those numbers. Only thing that hasn't changed is my high blood pressure, so she started me on some new drug to try for a month. As for the weight loss, the only diet change (besides the iodine supplements) has been eating my own homegrown lettuce and tomatoes last season. But that ended with the extreme heat of the summer. Arizona's growing season picks up in the next month or so, so I'm anticipating another tasty lettuce and tomato crop this winter.
For myself, I have not taken a tranquilizer since November of last year. I still have road rage problems, but my general anxiety has become controllable. Still have fatigue, but I'm a caffeine fiend, so it's probably adrenal issues. For detox symptoms, there are the odd acne issues, both body (an increase over my normal zit count) and a bit of the face, where I never had many problems in my youth. I don't expect that I've finished with bromide surprises yet though.
I just started a couple of weeks ago to take advange of the gel caps that Trapper included with my order. I had been doing the 8 drops of Lugols in about a liter of water and sipping all morning. But taking it all at once seems the way to go. So I've been doing 16 drops of 5% Lugol's in a cap and a cap of SSKI in the mornings. If I think about it, I'll do another cap of SSKI in the afternoon and some days I'll mix it up and just do two caps of the SSKI2% for the day. Trapper is right about "copius amounts of water," if I take a cap but forget to follow with a glass or two of water, my stomach lets me know I forgot.
So, I'm pretty happy so far with the results I've had with this "poison." My main fear was that I'd do something to harm myself (stupid fear, considering some of the substances I've ingested in life without a second thought). But the mainstream media is good at puting fear and lack of confidence into our minds, especially towards things that enlighten and create independence from the "machine."
I would like to thank all who participate here (well the positive ones), and especially Trapper for his fine products. And I'm hoping to be able to continue with positive updates in the future.
