Saywhatagain, I definitely understand what you are saying, and there are all kinds of areas where I am more open minded. That probably doesn't come across here though because it seems like we often get on the same topics over and over on this forum.
But this is my belief too, that even if I do have a closed mind on something I'm wrong about, I know God can still change my mind. He's not limited by my stubbornness. He can change my mind anytime he wants to. And that's what I see him doing everyday with non-believers that all the sudden believe. That guy (Adam Ford) that I put the comics up from, has a great testimony about how he was a staunch atheist and had a complete closed mind about there not being a God and prided himself about how smart he was as a atheist and how dumb christians were. But that didn't stop God, and this guy is one who knows for sure that it's by grace alone that he was saved because he was so set against never believing there was a God, that when he did become a believer, he was absolutely astonished.
I know God has changed my mind on plenty of things before that I was closed minded on. But I also try to be as thorough as I can on studying things and praying about things, because I do want to know the truth on things and not be blinded.

The Apostle topic is just one that I feel sure about. I've studied it, prayed about it, and it just does not make sense to me that there would need to be modern day Apostles and I've never seen anyone that claimed to be one that didn't have major heresy in their teachings. The church I grew up in was founded by a modern day "Apostle". And so we listened to everything he said because he was God's chosen "Apostle". When the Apostle Paul spoke, the people were to listen to him and obey what he said because that is what being an Apostle meant. They had authority as an Apostle. And so these modern day "Apostles" will expect to have the same authority, and if they are true Apostles, they should have that authority.

Also, what's interesting about this NAR group, is they will say that God is restoring the Office of Apostleship through them, meaning that there wasn't really any new Apostles before them, but now God is doing a new thing, and restoring all this authority and power through them. It's "New" hence why that's part of the name. And it's "Apostolic". These people are rising up in power and numbers insanely fast and I don't want to sound too alarming but it could come down to the point where we believe them and bow to them, or we be killed. Many people wouldn't believe it could come to that but the bible talks about a One World church forming and what do we see happening right now? We see all these huge Charasmatic churches and NAR groups joining up with the Catholic church and so I don't know, we'll just see what happens I guess.

But I do understand what you are saying and if you think I'm closed minded on this and shouldn't be, just pray for me! That's what I did for you on that other topic. :)
