Hello,

I was on birth control for over 10+ years- tri sprintec throughout the majority of my time, nuva ring for about a year. I went off BC in august of 2013 in effort to get healthier and more holistic. I haven't had a period since. I know that a lot of people I have talked to in holistic forums on FB said that it's normal to go through a long period of not having a period because your body relied on synthetic hormones for so long, but I am kind of just a little caught off guard that it's still been this long.

I guess I just want to have an answer- and of course, to almost have an answer I'd have to go to my obgyn and be run through some tests. I am not covered by insurance, so I will not be making any trips to the OBGYN anytime soon.

Basically I want to know- are there any supplements I could take that could bring about my period? AND- I have been in a LONG TIME committed relationship with my boyfriend, so can we have unprotected sex without worry of pregnancy?
