No! OMG it took 3 weeks of albenza, steam mopping the entire house, carpets, anything that got touched and a bottle of pyrantel. I still dose the kids once a week to make sure they're gone... we're going on week 6 i think.
I can't say exactly WHAT did the trick, but it could have been a combo of albenza + pyrantel that sent them on their merry way... and blasting every square inch of the house and its contents with steam and lysol wipes and boiling anything that came into contact with rear ends... like undies and wash cloths. I steamed beds and bedding and mattresses daily and the first thing anyone did after waking up was wash hands, go pee, then I rinsed butts with a cup of warm water while they sat on the toilet (got showers at night) and changed undies twice a day - after waking up and again after showers.
Are you having trouble making them go away... or with reinfection? We must have gotten an easy strain because I see soooo many people suffer horribly with pinworms :(
