Longterm,

When I first began the moist healing treatment, and my lips were still building up I didn't let water touch my lips in the shower at all. I didn't even wash my face in the shower, I would wait until I got out and washed my face and rinsed my lips gently in the sink.

I am not as careful anymore.

My lips have become increasingly inflamed over the last few days. I was using Calendula Ointment on them, so I am hoping that it was that. I will stop using it for the next few days to see.

The redness of the affected area on my lips has gotten much worse but no buildup or anything. But they feel and look noticeably more inflamed. They have that plastic feel and look, and have felt much more dry.
