It "apparently" worked for you or at least it didn't cause harm. Others have done the caps also without any "apparent" adverse effects, but I've yet to hear anything that contradicts the logic behind my statement and makes a reasonble argument for taking the caps other than convenience and for those than don't like the spice. We had at least one poster (Russ)and his wife that had some bad results when the caps didn't melt till it got in their colons.
Until someone presents me with a reasonble argument other than using the caps for convenience sakes or not liking spicy stuff. I stand 100% behind my statement that the cayenne caps are simply not a "good idea".
Now Hopingso I believe takes the caps but she puts a little bit of cayenne on her tongue so the proper digestive juices and enzymes are released for the proper digestion of the cayanne. While that's a reasonable and well thought out approach just on common sense alone having a cap burst in your stomach or further down the GI tract and releasing all that heat all at once can not be a good thing at all.
Whether some folks can tolerate than sudden burst of heat in their GI tract is a whole different story from the cayenne being properly digested and the body making the "best and most efficient" use of it's stimulating and mucous cleansing effects by taking it mixed in the lemonade.
