Ivermectin and doxycycline is the reccomended treatment for most filarial infections except for mansonella pertans. The medicine eliminates microfilara and sterilizes the adults for a few months. You have to keep taking it every few months. The doxycycline weakens the adults and kills some of them. You have to take the doxy for at least 40 days to 9 weeks. tetracycline should work too.
