The writer of this article(as with many others) is oblivious to the biological chemistry associated with the ingestion of Colloidal Silver solutions. ie, in cases such as these, I would simply ask how it is that people have contracted or developed Argyria as a result of exposure to elemental silver. IOW. in the years that have passed, there were numerous cases of localized and systematic reaction as a result of exposure of elemental silver. Be it, through ingestion, physical exposure and inhalation. All of which, were documented to contribute to the condition.
And while this in itself is intriguing, it raises some important questions on the chemical reactions that would contribute to the formation of Argyria as a result of elemental or metallic silver exposure.
And the going consensus is that all forms of silver must have the potential for ion exchange within the body so as to enter the blood stream. And thus we end-up with the inevitable conclusion that all silver solutions have the potential to promote Argyria.
HOWEVER...
I am hopeful that Argyria can be reversed based on the fact that elemental silver can be broken down chemically. And thus, I hypothesis. that if we were able to combine such a chemical with a transdermal carrier, that this should theoretically reverse the effects of Argyria. HINT: I frequently use a none-toxic chemical to clean my Colloidal Silver components; flasks, stir-bars, rods etc. Which has proven to break down or disassociate elemental silver into an ionic state in mere seconds. However... I'd also add, that we can also use this very same chemical on our own skin for medical purposes.
And thus, it is based on this, that I hypothesize that Argyria may very well be reversible.
Anyone interested in participating in a case study?
