Yes, I certainly agree that God delights in allowing His children the honor of participating in His work. And that is why Ephesians 2:10 is one of my favorite scriptures and I've posted it so many times that you'd think I'd have it memorized already, but I guess my memorization skills are not as good as they used to be, so I still have to look it up. :)
Here it is again:
Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
It's an honor to serve Him, worship Him, suffer with Him, and do all things that He delights for us to do, and it's all by His grace.
But when someone says God is waiting on us to release Him, I just don't see that in scripture. It seems the opposite to me, that we are waiting on God to release us, since we are the ones in bondage. Does the bible not say God is the one that opens our eyes and ears? If a stubborn, stony heart can't stop God, what can?
Ezekial 36:26
And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
I'm with Job who says:
“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted."
Job 42:2
God doesn't have to be released to do anything. He does what he wants, when he wants, and believe you me, He knows how to humble someone. I've had plenty of experiences to know that is the truth with myself and others I've seen, and all the examples we have in the bible.
