I think for the worst psychological effect is wondering to myself how I became infected in the first place. It's hard not to wonder: was it the park I went to, the food I ate, a dog I came in contact with? It's hard not to wonder what was the very second that changed everything and ruined my life forever.

I can relate to you about the showering and never feeling clean. Ever since I have became infected I always worry about how much hand sanitizer I should use. It worries me the most before I eat. Another worry for me is infecting family members, because one of my family members has some serious health problems, and becoming infected could kill him.

So here is my question: if a patient has a picture to use as evidence of the infection, could the doctor not take that in place of a stool test as proof? Or would it be considered against medical policy to treat the patient without that positive stool test?
