Yes. There are MANY more reasons to take the cofactors than just iodine. To have some real fun, google "benefits of ----" for each of the co-supplements. You would want the co-supplements even if you weren't taking iodine. Especially the magnesium, which prevents strokes and artery failure. One of our neighbors almost died when his aorta burst, and the docs had to replace his aorta with plastic tubing from his heart to his liver. I don't think that would have happened if he were taking magnesium.
