Okay, first off, here's what I'm doing now:
In the morning,
* Selenium
* Iodine 50mg
* Multi-vitamin
* Calcium-Magnesium-Zinc
* Fish oil
In addition to that,
* Algin (sodium alginate) between meals and about 2 hours after dinner
* Probiotics (I forget how much, but a very large amount) with dinner
* Apple cider vinegar poured into water with breakfast and dinner (it's a prebiotic)
* Niacin (flushing kind) with every meal
* Super Cortisol Support with every meal
* 5-HTP with breakfast and dinner
* Sunflower lecithin
I also do the Cutler protocol with Alpha Lipoic Acid (25mg at the moment) from Friday morning to Sunday night, sometimes pushing it ahead if, say, a vacation gets in the way, so I try to avoid skipping rounds.
So, what's going on so far?
My thinking is clearing up, my mood is improving, and I'm gradually opening up a bit more to people. I'm not the most social person on the planet (and I'm autistic), but I do notice this change. I am gradually becoming more interested in things, more willing to try things. Before, apathy and lack of interest was a major problem. Now, it's still a problem, but it's also getting much better. I am also *less hungry*, which is VERY important to me. Candida flare-ups if I eat something candida doesn't like (going totally anti-candida diet is NOT an option for me, sadly) are much much less severe than before, and can be kept at bay with fewer Candex capsules. So this is great news, as it indicates that my candida may be clearing up... however slowly.
Many of these improvements started happening much faster after I started taking Iodine and Super Cortisol Support, which I had been taking for 1.5 months now. I started both at the same time, so I don't know if one or both is causing the increase in improvements.
The bad news? I STILL CAN'T SEEM TO LOSE WEIGHT. I'm eating *less*, am less hungry, am going for walks and bike rides (and easily have the energy to do so most of the time), and I have nothing to show for it. I really hate this. Any ideas, other than "keep at it"? Either way, I will keep at it, because the other improvements are great.
