The problem with thyroid tests are that they dont show the whole picture. Docs are in general not educated very well in endocrinology.

Then the sunshine; yess! but, there is a but, as even if one get enough sunshine, some people seem to not utilize the vitamin. I have seen this over and over again, in my jobs close to the medical field. Collegues: coming from a sunny holiday, still test low on vit D..

For those who slash vit D supplements instead of sunshine, I recommend reading this article; another test that might not be as good as it looks.
