Ive tried as high as 300mg.. Personally 200mg felt great when i took it.. but I didnt have any serious health issues.. In fact my hypothyroid symptoms were so mild, I wasnt even aware of them until i was taking 50mg-100mg for a week or so..

in the end the dosages of Iodine were probably too high for me as it pushed my TSH up from 11 to 48 (forty eight)..

Now I still take Iodine but i get it from my diet in fish and/or i take kelp which has 310mcg..

Its not alot of Iodine by this board's standard but my TSH has gone down to 5.85..

I look for symptoms to return. and if so I will prob take a couple drops of Lugols for a day or two a week..

as long as I continue dreaming regularly I'll assume I have adequate iodine.
