From my limited understanding, a MTHFR gene defect renders us less able to manage stress which contributes to a sustained "flight" mode, which taxes adrenals, which leads to AF. People with AF & people with CFS/ME can be negatively impacted by this from what I've read. Also, people with Lyme disease (moi), candida etc...
