After looking into D-lactate some more, I'm pretty certain that my relapse must have been caused at least in part by taking daily supplements of Culturelle probiotics (lactobacillus) recommended by my doctor although they are a D-lactate producing strain!! I definitely have symptoms of acidosis after eating carbohydrates! I am so glad that now I know to stay away from these harmful probiotics!!!
