I personally prefer to do the P&B or sometimes just the "P" shakes either before or after the Master Cleanse. I think the effects of the fast are much better when we keep the digestive track empty and as inactive as possible. Colon cleansing before MAster Cleanse can help make the Healing Crisis milder; done after MC, Colon Cleanses can sweep away mucoidal matter loosened during the cleanse.
