Yes they become man made rules once the "outside" (flesh)doesn't match the "inside" (spirit).

Usually things like these are biblical concepts that are suppose to apply to the "inside" first and that many times reflect (show) on the outside through the flesh.

However, just like our ongoing discussion about things that can be faked. These outward signs can be just an outward forced appearance, without the inward spirit change first.

Sign(s) will manifest in conflict somewhere in the person's life if the "inside" did not change before any "outside" change took place.

Are we modest inwardly? (Dress)

Do we put other gods before the One, True God? (TV-Movies)

If we are not careful man could make "soaking" in the Lord a man made rule.
