I can't take lupus drugs because of the strongyloides. When my immune system is suppressed, they go into hyperinfection, which is more deadly than the lupus. I didn't know why the lupus drugs made me so sick until I was diagnosed with strongyloides. I can never take any sort of steroids, which is mostly what is used for lupus. Believe it or not, they are testing albendazole for use with lupus. It makes me wonder if some cases of lupus aren't caused by parasites.
