i considered your situation and yes, i think that would do you a world of good.

there is a definite link between iron and iodine. studies have been done in australia have been done on those with low iron taking iodine. Iodine was definitely raising ferritin levels in those subjects, last i heard.

then, i have the unique opportunity in my dad who has hemachromatosis. this is supposedly a genetic disease, mostly occurs in men and symptoms often dont present themselves until the 40s or 50s. the body stores too much iron and it damages tissues and organs. the treatment is to give blood, a lot at first, and then frequently to make the body use up excess iron making red blood cells. it works great. but since my dad has been taking Iodine (180mg of KI a day), he has slowly stopped needing to give blood and now does not need to at all. Iodine cured a genetic disease.

a gram a day is nothing. if the problem is iron, iodine seems to help the problem for low or high iron. my guess is it helps utilization in the high iron subjects so the body stops trying to store it. for the low iron subjects, both utilization enhancement and the cleanup effect of KI and its antioxidant effects. people can be low in blood iron due to too much rust in the body. the rust cant be utilized but the body thinks it has iron and doesnt uptake it. KI helps get rid of the rust. ionic foot detox and IMAM are even better and quicker.

SSKI is called PIMA in the pharmacy. the dosage that any doctor can prescribe to a patient as an expectorant is 1800mg of KI. you can walk right off the street with congestion and an MD can give you almost 2 grams a day to get you over it. im really safe saying a gram a day. really, really , really, really safe. its just food.
