First I think you have to treat every person on a case by case basis because there are just too many variables at play. You can't just apply a standard set of rules, people just don't work like that in the real world. So your question is a little bit offputting to me and shows me where you are coming from. It's not a good question.

That said, I do agree with you that avoiding the monstrously obvious things like White Sugar , refined flour, and refined sweeteners, chemicals, is a good start. But you could probably find an exception to every rule. When I was first starting out for example I did fine on soda in moderation, but white flour was really bad and needed to be avoided completely, and the same for dairy.

Even coca cola can be used to good effect since it is an extremely powerful solvent, high in phosphoric acid. Phosohoric acid can very quickly dissolve gallstones. So let's say there is a person out there with gallstones, which you miight not know, has an enormous impact on the health of the small intestine, altering the p.h. and making it susceptible to candida. So in this scenario a person could drink coca cola for a week, and dissolve some stones, and then have their bile moving properly which could in turn effectively cure candida. It's not a likely scenario but it is very possible.

Even white flour can be ok if it's fermented properly and Sugar can be ok mixed with certain spices or herbs.

Ok here's a great example of where your theory falls apart. Alcohol is fermented Sugar right? How about water kefir which is also fermented Sugar water? It can actually help people cure candida and a host of other illnesses. The same goes for kombucha which produces alcohol.

Or how about S. Boulardii, which is also a yeast. All the yeast nazis will say NOOOO you cannot eat yeast!!!! But it is known to compete with C. Albicans and it does not turn into a hyphal form.

Or how about all of the chinese mushrooms with immune enhancing effects?

So many holes in your way of thinking about disease.

Alcohol in moderation is fine for a lot of people. I avoided it unnecessarily due to listening to people like yourself and missed out on some good party time. Guinness stout in particular is good due to the way it is fermented with hops, as opposed to regular beer.

Avoidance is just one approach, another way to look at it is what are you actually doing vs. not doing. And you have to understand your own system and what's going on with it. For example you could think you're on the 'perfect' diet avoiding all of the things that you listed in your links, but then be eating a lot of meat, which for some people can be the actual culprit. Undigested meat in the intestine is a breeding ground for all pathogens and not just candida. And it can clog all the finer channels in the body causing big problems in the long run while you are fooling yourself that the no sugar diet is going to bring on a cure.

I would say the best thing to do is look at all the people who were actually cured and not just the ones who are leading lives of avoidance and try all of the cures they did.

Iodine is a very good one, but it's not the only thing to do.

Certain protozoa can cause severe damage to the intestinal tract and be at the root cause. Some people are able to eat sugar and bread after dealing with these infections. There is no one size fits all plan unfortunately.

How are you going to treat the problem if you don't even understand the nature of it? No one has a complete understanding of all of the different causes of candida, that's why it's a lucrative industry and great internet debate topic.

Capish?
