This is where possibly the regular medical people would argue the case. Prolonged worry, anxiety, be it mental, or physically based (physical trauma etc) can cause alterations to the DNA of the body.
Therefore I guess this is where the argument that the 'adrenals' are fine comes about, and this is why they use pyschiatric medications to 'solve' the problem.
Being that stress, trauma, anxiety, whatever a persons problem is, is generally inflammation, most illnesses are or have a huge inflammation factor (which is why the inflammatio mark blood test is used in diagnosing people who find themselves sick). The majority of the pysch meds such as Lexpro promote cortisol output - anti-inflammatory by the bucket load (a small dose of 5mg of Lexapro can double the adrenal output of cortisol after an hour of ingestion according to a report I read). Prolonged stress/anxiety/trauma causes adrenaline to rise, therefore the cell receptor sites become downregulated for cortisol and upregulated for adrenaline. I believe this is some of the thoughts of Dr Poesnicker.
So, it could be if ones hormones are fine, and even if there cortisol is on the low side, that there adrenals are fine, but there is something that is constantly draining the system...and living sick for a long while will affect the mental states of a person, therefore programming fear, and panic as a condition. - Which is the whole meditation/yoga angle comes from.
Could the urine flow also be a detox reaction, as the sweat system (pores and cells) is clogged with toxins therefore it has to come out somewhere?
HPA Dysfunction rather than Adrenal Fatigue. which is something we have always talked about I geuss.
Feo, I wanted to ask you a question, I mean this with all sincerity! so please dont get stroppy :) I play my guitar for a few hours a day, I was restringing it this afternoon and realised, or rather jogged my AF memory that my strings are copper (with a little zinc) - would you not play guitar (if you did) to avoid your copper exposure?
