I took 5k iu of vitamin d for months and had my blood serum levels tested. They were at the upper part of the recommended range (i.e. they were perfect). Mind you this was when I was feeling terrible because of the yeast. So as I said, while sufficient vitamin D is necessary--absolutely necessary--to get better, it will not produce any miracles in and of itself.
