Heating water does many thing. Though for the most part, it reduces ions into metallic particle which in turn creates larger particles.

Beyond this, heat also; accelerates processing, raises conductivity, resistance to oxidation and your solutions saturation limits. - Though this will return once the solution cools and so it's best to factor this in prior to meeting your target as you'll end-up with pooling, plating and/or precipitation.

As for the honey, the going consensus is that reducing agents promote the reduction of ionic silver into metallic particles. However, to my surprise and disappointment, I discovered that this most likely not the case as these(so called) reduced solutions prove no different than their ionic counterparts when either; exposed to table salt or sunlight. And so I'd have to call shenanigans on that one as the color change is most likely the result of the formation of larger particles from the would be ions in the initial solution.

Hope this helps.

PS. you can try your own tests in chemical reduction by brewing a batch of ionic(clear) CS solution, splitting it in 1/2, of which you can add the honey. Then subject both solutions to table salt and observe the results. And then compare this with particle such made from HV such as; Mesosilver.
