The fatty liver slows down the flow of bile so much that you can't flush the gallbladder of stones. The disease is called Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). If you've had it for a while the liver becomes damaged. The bile gets slower and the gallbladder doesn't fill and empty properly. It fills with stones which irritates the gallbladder wall which thicken.
