I have read that the cause of type 2 diabetes is trans-fats in cell membranes. This causes the membranes to be too rigid to let the Sugar through, which causes the insulin resistance. If you replace the trans-fat with good omega 6 or 9 fats (now I dont know exactly which), you may reverse your type 2 diabetes. Probably the best to take is hemp seed oil.
