I feel slightly inexperienced here as I have only had SD symptoms for about 2 months starting at a very stressful time (exams and BF's family problems leading to him moving country).
I have had trouble with Acne for 5 years, before being on birth control i only had mild whiteheads but the POP caused cyclic Acne and my skin hasn't been the same since.. Now onto the questions-
1. No health problems when symptoms started just extreme stress.
2. Symptoms only been 2 months, so nothing to report.
3. LOTS. Been on long term for 4 years on and off for Acne treatment, tetracycline, doxycycline, had tonsillitis- amoxycillin. Prescribed fluxoxycillin initially as doc thought SD was infection/infected when symptoms started.
4. No
5. Not me
6. Sounds possible you're convincing me.
7. Good question. Around 2 months ago my skin got dry and flaky, itchy. Then a yellow crust started forming and intense itching, tried home remedies and nothing helped- went to doc after about 4 weeks- prescribed flucloxacillin twice 4x daily for 7 days. By day 7 things had settles but still very red and dry, less crust and weeping tho. By day 9 skin was 'normal'. Day 11 skin was bad again, went back to docs who gave the same Antibiotics for double two weeks, half the dose. (Still suspected infection) day 20- non related allergic reaction to eye cream caused a docs app as puffy eyes, explained Antibiotics seemed to not be working. Was given fucidin (steroids and Antibiotic cream) my skin was AMAZI G within 2 days:D then after the second course of Antibiotics was finished around day 25? I could feel the itch coming on:( went back and was diagnosed with SD given daktacort ointment, to use twice a day for 2 weeks only then return to doc. I'm halfway through the 2 weeks and forgot one treatment this morning and now have itchy face:(
I'm not exactly experienced but that's my story so far.
8. No never
9. Usually I go at least once a day in the evening, more often soft/ loose but not uncontrollable
10. Only been on daktacort 5 days, seems effective (I can hear the warnings dw), and manuka soap and 'skin repairing cream IMF 18+'
