I don't recall reading anything from any detox specialists about Hg spreading to any significant extent via oral or sexual contact.

Sadly, it clearly is passed from mother to child during pregnancy and breast feeding. Therefore women who are pregnant, nursing or might become pregnant have to be careful with their detox plans--more if requested.
