Interesting. I used to get eczema real bad until discovering that eumovate literally cured it - but when FIRST applied to a very active patch the pain and itching are awful, just for that one, initial application, mind. Often didn't need to apply it again, but if reapplication was needed it didn't cause any itching or butning.
Now, of course, I apply it at the first sign of an outbreak, so never get that itching and burning reaction.

I wonder how many other actual cures cause distress on first application.

Please no-one start telling me how it won't work, that it's dangerous, that this and that etc. It worked for me, and I've recommended it to others it works for. I don't care about the health and safety aspect, eczema is awful to live with and I, personally, think everyone should be told if there are any possible cures. Free will to try these things is how cures are discovered (surprisingly often in spite of scienctific recommendations)
