For a few more tips on reading the forum

to check if someone sent you a message or  send a personal message go to inbox at the top right of the page. If you have a message, it will likely be pulsating or something to indicate this

sometimes for long thread there are numbers to the left of the post and this puts x number of messages into a forum where you can read them all or one can view them one at a time and see how many people looked at it with the other view (click the 1 on the right of the message title)
