Interesting, we have had a recent surge in zapper repairs, mostly zappers sold between 2004 and 2006.

Yep, and as I have said all along, 4 ma should be a minimum for Clark and 9.0 is best. While this is not tolerable at 4 Hz, it is barely noticed at 2 kHz and above.
