Re dosing and half life.
This varies somewhat from person to person. I'm one whose head feels better with more frequent dosing--less tingly, dull headache in the 30 min before next dose. I also have found over the years that I feel better when I took my former ADD medication more frequently than most people. I need to eat snacks between meals. Most members of detox groups don't report this.
One of Cutler's old posts on this issue. Your math buddy will have fun with the numbers : )

btw. this is info on one of the autism studies he mentioned--more on that if requested.

There is more on Cutler's view on the importance of half life, the value and limitations of dithiol chelators and more in this recent discussion in an autism group

This classic post by a veteran member of Yahoo's AMC group should help as you learn about the forms of Hg and the implications for movement across the blood brain barrier.

( unfortunately there is gibberish every time he typed an apostrophe )
Re Vitamin E intolerance.
There are quite a few members of the Yahoo FDC group who reported this. It is not one of the issues that my friend and I have encountered so I don't know the list of options. Some things that come to mind:
I think I've heard that people break open the capsule and use it topically, maybe like progesterone cream is applied.
Would you benefit from a digestive enzyme, maybe one with DPP-IV. That enzyme is inhibited by Hg and is involved in breakdown of soy, gluten and cassein. Houston and Enzymedica have products containing DPP-IV.
One person who struggled with Vitamin E also benefited from ox bile.
Andy mentions trying other lipid soluble antioxidants when Vit E is not tolerated but I see you are struggling there as well.
I once found vitamin E "powder" at beyond a century vitamins. I don't know if they still have it.
Re taking extra chelator in dose 1 of a round.
Yes there was a recent discussion about this in the Yahoo Frequent Dose Chelation group. BrianMcB, who also likes to play with numbers : ) was making a similar point. I don't have the link.
I've not read anything from Cutler on this; however, I bet he is trying to keep things as simple as possible. So many of us Hg toxic folks are quite brain fogged!
Re gains
I'm glad to hear about the encouraging report. Pregnenolone--along with other things-- turned the lights on for my brain fogged and stressed out friend. I also like it for my mild adrenal fatigue.
Re EMF.
Co-moderator of FDC, Josette-FranceL, has/had a nasty case of EMF sensitivity when she joined a couple of years ago. she is getting gains but has quite a ways to go. She also has MCS that is improving but is still life-limiting.
Re blurry vision.
Cutler mentions in his AI book the poisoning of the third cranial nerve as it passes near the poisoned hypothalamus--if I recall correctly.
However, some of your other symptoms make me think your electrolytes are out of balance. learn about aldosterone--seen here at the end of one of the adrenal cortex production lines.

Cutler has a recipe for a home made "sports drink" since so many of us don't tolerate colorings, etc in commercial sports drinks. I can tolerate a squirt of lemon Gatorade in my water, but not the other colors. they'll make me hyperactive.
Re forskolin.
I'm not familiar with the link to buring fat. I associate acetyl l carnitine with that.
I'm not so sure I'd go heavy on forskolin if you have a history of anxiety or caffeine intolerance. I just use tiny amounts of it. ACE, pregnenolone, hydrocortisone, B5 are higher on my list. I think forskolin is more for fatigue and not as useful for most adrenal symptoms.
Re carbs
Hypoglycemia? This is common in detox groups. It is a symptom of adrenal insufficiency. Cortisol is a glucocorticoid--hint look it up : )
Re dmps & sleep
Can't not try melatonin--no time to explain.
If you hang around the detox groups you'll learn why DMPS is nice in the early months--way too many good reports from the sickest members.
I had been chelating successfully with DMSA + ALA for 1.5 yrs for my lead, etc problem when my close friend decided she wanted some of my improbable gains! : ) I had plenty of DMSA to give her but I knew it was not a good fit for her--emotionally sensitive, low pain tolerance, poor sleep, history of candida. I typed up her history, drove her to a doctor who I suspected would be okay with oral DMPS, paid for the doctor visit and for the first bottle of DMPS! As expected she did quite well on it in the early months--5+mg every 6 hrs. She was happy to pay for it after that.
However there are no silver bullets. A few people get nasty allergic rashes to DMPS and so can't use it.
You should consider joining the large Yahoo frequent dose chelation group for your complex case. there are lots of people there with similar symptoms.
