Barbade,
I'm impressed with your research !

You have got it mostly correct. To answer your questions, see this file for references:

You are correct-Doctors & pharmacists know nothing about Iodine because the 150 year history of Iodine being a MAJOR medicine has been systematically stripped & censored from med schools & the record in order to sell more profitable drugs & surgeries.

Selenium is required to prevent Hashimotos destruction of your thyroid.

ATP Cofactors is recommended instead of B2 & B3. Take 1/2 tablet for the 1st 25mg of Iodine & 1/2 tablet for each 25mg thereafter to a max of 3 tablets a day.

The problems with water are many. Fluoride & Chlorine displace iodine out of our cells. Farming chemicals seep into ground water. The only answer is Distilled Water or a Reverse Osmosis filter. Micron filters won't do the job.

Take Vitamin C to bowel tolerance.

Unfortunately I don't have anything for your sharp stomach pains. Iodine deficiency causes a lot of diseases, but stomach pain is not one that I am aware of. The stomach DOES require iodine for optimal stomach acid. So perhaps that is the connection.

I would suspect ulcers, or one of these:
Some of the more common causes include:
Indigestion
Constipation
Stomach virus
Menstrual cramps
Food poisoning
food allergies
Gas
Lactose intolerance
Ulcers
Pelvic inflammatory disease
Hernia
Gallstones
Kidney stones
Endometriosis
Crohn's disease
Urinary tract infection
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Appendicitis
