I agree. It  probaby will not be a cure  by itself because the outer part of the cell wall of  candida is mannans and glucans/proteins. Candida will probably  just fill in the missing chitin with mannans and glucans. I can see Lufenuron benefiting people with more mild to moderate candida and have a decent amount of good bacteria to take the terrain back over. The idea of the combo therapy is to target all parts of its cell membrane then it causes true die-off.  Seems like the only people that cure themselves in that situation are mild to moderate cases.  Cell membrane leakage can cause miserable side effects. I don't think Lufenuron causes die-off(especially in the long run) but rather an immune response. The chitin in candida is in the inner part of the candida cell wall so i can't see it causing much of any die-off because candida still has layers of cell wall above the chitin.

I think with any type of treatment it depends on how much good bacteria/flora is present ready to take the terrain back over. Severe gut dysbiosis of an overgrowth of fungus or bad bacteria seems near impossible to cure.  My brother-in law has SIBO and he can not get his gut  ecosystem back into balance. He took anti-biotics for about 6 months. What is intersting is that he developed bad bacteria overgrowth but not fungal overgrowth. Maybe the type of antibiotics he took were enough to cause some of his bacteria to go pathogenic but did not wipe out enough bacteria to set up a fungal infection.

Wouldn't it be nice if the medical field could invent a machine that could just " flush" out  someones gut that is full of dysbiosis. Kind of like taking your car in for a coolant flush. They add a additive and clear out all the gunk in the hoses.
