Of course we do. I've had to deal with this problem twice. Once when I was young and didn't know better. And once when I was older and a girl lied to me about taking birth control just so we could have drunk sex.

From the way you talk about abortion, I think you have a very biased opinion. You are letting religion play into your decision. I felt awful both times, if I could take it back I would have paid any amount of money so she didn't have to get pregnant, however, I do not regret our decisions. In both cases, we would have not been fit parents. I work 50+ hours a week over two jobs to barely support myself. In both cases, the girls did not work. The life I want to provide my child is not one full of struggle.

I don't believe death is the worse thing that a person can experience. Especially not death as a fetus that is barely aware. You mentioned that people should abstain until marriage and I am jealous at how secure you are. I choose not to abstain because of how sporadic life can be. I don't know if I'll live til 80 or die tomorrow. I don't know if I'll ever meet someone I'm interested in that is also interested in me. I don't know if I'll always have my sex drive. I live in the moment and not partaking in a pure pleasure makes no sense to me.

I do respect your religion though and respect decisions people make because of their religion. I think that if it works for you, don't stop. And it is great that you have found peace in that way. It is just not for everyone.

2cents.
