Hello everyone,
I was thinking recently about the chances of someone being able to contract argyria from eating everyday with sterling silverware since a small amount of the silver composing the silverware is consumed due to the friction and the enzymes in the mouth. Additionally, there are shampoos and deodorants that contain silver such as silver citrate, silver dihyrdrogen citrate, and silver chloride. Nivea, Dove, and degree are some companies to name that use silver in some of their products. It is inevitable that some of the silver in those products is absorbed by the pores of the skin. Is it possible that using these products over time and/or eating with sterling silverware over time can cause argyria?
