Hello,
Just so you know, this is my first post to the group and I joined it, specifically, because, your post worried me so much that I felt I had to respond.
I started taking oral magnesium supplements and I am having a die-off reaction after a couple of days of taking them. The symptoms you mentioned having also sound like a die-off reaction.
Sometimes, it is really hard to tell the difference. My dad is a very yeasty person who avoids things such as jalapenos, because, they make him feel bad. Feeling bad, including brain fog, rashes, rectal itching, headaches and more, is part of the symptoms of yeast overgrowth, yes; but, it is also part of the symptoms of yeast being killed.
What I know for a certainty is that people with Fibromyalgia tend to have yeast overgrowth, and, vice versa. People with Fibromyalgia also tend to have excessively low magnesium. Yeast overgrowth inhibits the absorption of magnesium.
You don't have to take a magnesium supplement to begin to heal from yeast overgrowth. It helps speed up the process. When the process is sped up, you feel worse, more often; but, you get over it more quickly, as well.
So, unless you are taking magnesium supplements that contain Sugar and yeast, any reaction you are having is probably a good sign!
