I really wouldn't kick yourself for getting it removed. It would have just gotten infected. I agree it takes time. Your body needs time to rid itself of everything. Look into drinking Bentonite clay- I am so glad I finally bought it- its great for just about everything.

I was looking replying on my old post right below your original and saw how you mentioned the miscarriage. Something that people don't counsel you on or even talk about is how traumatic that is for your body. Whether miscarraige or abortion, whether thrilled about it or not, there is a lot going on after wards. Its worth looking into. Hormone test are not too accurate because they have their own definitions of a normal range.
