I know that one of my posts was labeled or tagged as a "success." Let me be as clear as I can; I am by no means "cured." I explicitly stated that during my post(s). I'm definitely getting better. My ammonia Body Odor now 3/10. Before the start of my yogurt and probiotic regimen, my bo was 10/10. I have trigger foods. If I eat them, I will start to smell again; badly.
I have IBS-C (Irritable Bowel Syndrome with constipation). I traveled overseas a lot while in the military, and was given lots of Antibiotics as a preventive measure. I do believe the Antibiotics completely destroyed my normal gut flora. I've tried probiotics in the past along with yogurt but nothing seemed to work. I finally found one (probiotic) that actually works for me, but it's not 100%.
My logic is to introduce as much good bacteria to my GI tract and cultivate normal bowel habits. This actually helps reduce my ammonia Body Odor . fruits and vegetables pass effortlessly through your GI tract. Meat, starches, and junk foods linger in your GI tract longer, which can cause constipation. Also the aforementioned can putrefy in your gut and make you smell bad.
My approach:
1. Eat healthy.
2. Introduce good bacteria to my gut; probiotic and prebiotic foods and supplements. Yogurt, dark chocolate, kefir, sauerkraut, miso soup, pickles, Kombucha Tea, fruits and vegetables.
3. Lot's of water.
4. Regular bowel habits (is key).
5. Exercise.
6. Stay away from trigger foods.
