my heels were cracked and hurting, especially my right heel
i began coating them with povidone Iodine and putting a pair of socks over it before bedtime
after a few days of this i scraped the dry skin off my heels with my fingernails while taking a bath
my heels went completely back to normal and i have no more cracks
occasionally they feel like they are getting dry or itchy and i do a povidone treatment
the cracks have not come back
i was having trouble with cracked heels several years ago
no more problems now
