Iron accumulation (poisoning) causes degenerative neurological disease. As the body organs accumulate iron over time, the iron deposits in greater amounts in the brain, stimulating the synthesis of toxic proteins that build up, as in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (Mad Cow) and other dementias.

Iron stimulates and facilitates the growth of toxic proteins, when there is concurrent bio-available copper deficiency. Toxic proteins are tightly bound to iron; these proteins need the oxygen that iron attracts, to thrive and replicate -- to ensure their survival.
