It is not recommended to use Tea Tree Oil internally (Melaleuca alternifolia) due to the concentration of essential oils. It is an external use product, the pure oild and teh water soluble. In sayng that, I know a naturopath colleague who took more than 20 drops a day for over two weeks internally - with NO side-effects. If you consider this option, you do so at your own risk though. Neem oil is a safer option internally.
