i didnt take selenium my whole first year and did just fine, going all the way up to a gram of Iodide a day. it wasnt until year two or three that i stated supplementing. i was doing something else, though. i was eating a lot of brazil nuts (a culinary choice). maybe thats what it was, they gave me enough selenium. that and maybe hashis wasnt my problem.
