I know what you mean. Thinking that I had candida when my illness started, I avoided all fruit and all carbs like the plague. Later I read that green apples were ok to eat on the "candida diet", so I tried one. I don't remember my bowel health at the time, but I know it made me feel horrible. I believe this is because, at the time, I had remained nearly carb free and actually put myself in to a carb intolerant state and many times on CZ I have read that people are fine with either high carb, or high fat, but nobody is pushing 40% carb and 50% fat and 10% protein.

Once I went on a high carb raw vegan diet (I ate a lot of fruit, I mean 30 or more bananas/day plus lettuces, or bananas and a few watermelons and cantaloupes, etc.) all the suffering before, when on the high fat diet and eating a single green apple, subsided and I later ended up feeling the best I ever have.

But, I am not trying to push this diet on anyone, but maybe suggest that when combined with the other foods in your diet, the fruit appears to be causing the problems, when it is merely the combination you are eating.

Or maybe this is not your situation.

All I know is that on the high fruit diet, I had the most amazing bowel movements ever. 3 times/day on the toilet was the norm and no more brain fog. Sleep was great and I had more energy than ever before.

Cons: tooth sensitivity, I dropped some muscle mass even though I was eating over 3000 calories/day, and social stigma.
